Vikki Tucher
Interim Director
Vikki Tucher will lead the Center in the interim until a new director has been identified. Vikki is currently the lead teacher in one of two CYC STEM classrooms. She has been a highly regarded team member of the Center for over 20 years serving as a sounding board to administration as well as a mentor/coach to both teachers and students. She is a member of the National Association for the Education for Young Children (NAEYC) and has experience in achieving and maintaining NAEYC accreditation, the Center’s next certification objective. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education with the latter focused in Early Childhood. Additionally, she is licensed in Elementary Education K-6, 7/8 non-departmentalized. Vikki was instrumental in creating the vision for the CYC’s STEM classroom and co-led this innovative program beginning in 2015. Vikki’s institutional knowledge, her expertise in and respect for early childhood education and educators, her high level of discernment when approaching matters of early childhood education, as well as her belief in the value of the family-childcare center partnership make her the ideal candidate to lead the excellent teachers and staff at the Center as interim director. Vikki enjoys gardening, reading, and is a lover of all animals.
